Our Story

Established in 1954, Chancellor Hall at the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, has been instrumental in shaping the lives of thousands of young men, many of whom have gone on to make significant contributions to Jamaica and the wider Caribbean.

Chancellor Hall was founded with a mission to mould and develop young men into leaders who can maintain an orderly, disciplined, and functional society in Jamaica and the Caribbean. Over the past seven decades, the Hall has provided a home for students and also been a crucible for developing the values of leadership, academic excellence, and community service.

Super Lions Awards

Commemorating Stellar Achievements

The brainchild of Mr. Winston Wright, a Chancellor Hall alumnus and former warden, the Super Lions Awards and Banquet commemorates the Hall's impact and influence beyond the UWI.

Its alumni have played key roles in shaping policies, leading educational reforms, and driving economic development and integration across the Caribbean.  This prestigious event honours their achievements and legacy.

The Super Lions Awards and Banquet is a platform for alumni and current residents to connect and network in an environment which fuels inspiration.
